Traveling in two big buses, we embarked on a ten-day journey visiting nine different villages. In each village, we handed out toys, school supplies, clothes and other basic necessities as well as clothes. While the distribution was ongoing, we spent time with the villagers, and played games with the children, creating moments of joy and connection. Our team also included nurses and doctors who provided medical aid.
One of the significant challenges we faced was during our travel to a mountainous area. The rugged terrain proved too difficult for our buses to navigate. In response, we decided to stop and set up our distribution point at an area beside the road. From within a mile away, the villagers, eager to meet us, came down on motorcyles and small vehicles to greet us.
Despite the unforeseen change in plans, we were able to continue our mission. The children sat on the rocks, and we taught them while distributing our items.
Throughout our journey, we shared the gospel message with the villagers. Many listened intently and accepted the Lord Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Witnessing this transformation was the highlight of our mission trip and reaffirmed the purpose of our journey.
